A: The content is very close to a vesper prayer said on Wednesdays; Ḥudrā I, p. ܟܟ (20). Fiey 1959, p. 132, read the date as 1705 (=Sel. 2015), but the nūn “50” is quite clear. B: Translation of a prayer said on the 3rd Sunday after the Sanctification of the Church: ܒܪܟ ܡܪܢ ܢܛܪ ܡܪܢ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܗܢܐ : ܘܐܫܪܐ ܒܓܘܗ ܫܝܢܟ ܪܒܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ; Ḥudrā III, p. ܬܩܨܛ (599). B1: The Arabic (Garshuni) demonstrative pronoun is preceded by the Syriac direct object marker: ܠܗܕܐ. C1-2: The Garshuni inscription is a translation of a Syriac verse (giōrā) added to Ps 86: ܡܛܠܗܢܐ ܒܢܐ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ : ܕܐܝܢܐ ܕܨܒܐ ܕܢܚܙܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܠܒܝܬܗ; Ḥudrā I, p. 322. The Garshuni content is also found in AA.08.04 and in a Syriac version in AA.11.02, AE.01.46C. C2-3: Ps 100:4. C4: Ps 118 [117]:20. To the left side of the men’s date, the following Arabic commemorative inscription was found: قد ترممت هذه الكنيسة وتبلطت داخلا وخارجا بنفقة الفقير عبد الرحيم ولد توما يوسفاني عن روح اخويه المرحومين الشماس عبد الكريم ومنصور يسأل من كل زاير ان يمدهما بالصلوة والرحمة بجاه الطاهرة مريم العذراء سنة ١٨٧۲. “This church was renovated and paved inside and outside at the expense of the poor ‛Abd-al-Rah)īm, son of Tūmā Yūsifānī, for the memory of his late two brothers, Deacon ‛Abd-al-Karīm and Mans)ūr. He begs every visitor to offer a mercy prayer for them, through the intercession of the pure Virgin Mary: The year 1872.”
