(1-5) Here is laid in the hope of the glorious Resurrection the one of blessed memory, our Father Mār Yawsep ‛Ammānū’ēl II Tōmā, Catholicos-Patriarch of Babylon over the Chaldeans. (6-8) He was born in the village of Alqōš in 8 Āb (August), the year 1852 of our Lord. He was ordained priest in 9 Latter Tešrīn (November) 1879. B (1-5) He was ordained bishop of Se‛ert in 24 Tammūz (July) the year 1892. He was elected Patriarch in 9 Tammūz (July) 1900. He died in Mosul in 21 Tammūz (July) 1947. May his memory be eternal: (6-8) You were supporter of the poor, helper of the miserable one in his affliction, protection from the storm and cover from the heat.
