Hover a word for its meaning. Glosses draw on Amir Harrak’s translations and the SEDRA 3 Syriac lexicon (Beth Mardutho), used for academic purposes.

(1-5) [In the name] of the Living God, the Trinity and the Single One whose throne is in heaven, and whose abode is the magnificent light. He is the beginning and the end, and his being has no beginning. Through his everlas[ting love] he sent his eternal Son as he wanted. The Son put on himself a human body out of the nature of Adam. He died and rose up (6-10) on the third day and he will come again on the last day to judge the human race. The reverend priest and the preacher of the church the Priest Patrōs son of the Priest Bihnān of the family Bēt-Qāšā-Ēlīā left this earthly world and departed to the spiritual one. He died on Wednesday, middle of Latter Kōnūn (January), (11-12) the year 1866 of Christ x x x .
