(1-5) Following the metre of Mōr Ya‛qūb: In the good hope of the Father, the Son and the Living Spirit. A bright boy with a sweet name, Mansūr, left this earthly world full of difficulties and departed to the spiritual world dense with pleasurable things. (6-10) His life spanned sixteen years. He was the only son of Deacon Mūšē of the family Bēt-‛Atallāh of Kudēdā. He left the world on the 13th of the sunny (month of) Ōb (August) (and) was laid into a funeral procession in the year 1930 of our Lord Jesus. (11-15) He left for his family grief, groans, weeps and laments. A hidden reason called upon us to explain overtly the matter of this attractive boy of a sweet name. This chaste young man was treated by strangers unjustly and they were jealous of him. This modest and innocent one was also calumniated by his acquaintances.
