(1-5) In His eyes, the death of all the righteous is honorable: Ps. 115. Metre /1939/ of (Mōr) Ya‛qūb. In the eyes of the Lord, the death of all the righteous is honorable, for they hate the world, live in Christ, and are saved by him. (6-10) They enter the glorious habitations and rest from suffering. He wipes their tears and gives courage to all grieving ones. The priest named Yawsef son of Mūsākā died. His life span was fifty-nine vain years. He lived ten years a hard life in the house of his parents, (11-15) without instruction or study at the hands of scribes. He lived for ten (years) a chaste life in the monastery of Mār Behnam, renouncing the world, its pleasure, and all its delicacies. For twenty-nine years he served priesthood, offering the body and blood of Jesus—through which we became saved, and delivering its portions. (16-17) In the year 1939, he left this world full of pains, on the 10th of the month of Tammūz (July), the sunny month, and was counted among the silenced ones.
