(1-5) This īwān was built, erecting it from its foundations, along with what is below (it), three cells, with the balcony before them, during the days of Mār Pope Pius XI, (6-10) and Mār ‛Ammānū’ēl II, Catholicos-Patriarch of Babylon, through the care of the Abbot Hannā Hurmizd B(abbala) of Alqōš, Superior General of the Chaldean monasteries, and the hard work (11-12) of the Brothers, in the year 1936 of our Lord, 20th of Ilōl (September).
