(1A) Now, O Lord God of Israel, let your word be confirmed—for indeed God dwells on the earth. Lo! Heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain you! How then this house which I have built? May your eyes be open over this house (1B) day and night, in the place of which you said, ‘My name shall be there’, to heed the prayer of those who pray before you in this place. (1C) When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, and when there is famine in the land, and pestilence, affliction, drought, locusts, flying locusts, and all diseases and tribulations, for they have sinned against you, when they pray here then hear (them).
(2A) In you, O Church, the (following) word was made deed and was fulfilled: “God is inside her and she shall not shake on account of evil doings!” The eternal covenant that he established for you will be a sign that the bars of Hell will not overcome you with fears. The prevailing Rock (2B) that cannot be shattered by difficulties, may it be the perseverance and strength of your children in faith. Let peace (2Ca) and calm (2Bb) increase in all your quarters, (2Cb) and let all blessings and all joys come upon you. May those who come to you be granted all (their) requests, and at the end of their course, may their share be in the church of the first-born ones.
