(1-3) Here is laid the virtuous of memory Mār Yōḥannān Saḥḥār. He was born in Mosul the 5th of Ādār (March) (4-6) the year 1853. He was made chorepiscopos for the city of Baṣra [the year] 1883. And he was established [bishop]

(1) of ‛Aqrā and Zībār the 25th of Iyyār (May) 1892, and in the month of (2) Second Tišrīn (November) 1894, he was also proclaimed (bishop) over the diocese of ‛Imādiyya. He departed to the eternal life in the month of Šbāṭ (February), 1910.
