English Translation

(1-5) The stars are glorious but more brilliant that all of them […] and a priest higher than the stars in rank and glory! He was the best of the priests and chorepiscopoi, and highly respected: Yawsep Nabāt—his name was “the brother of honey”! In mind he was prudent, in heart innocent, and in love burning. He shepherded the flock of Jesus the true shepherd. The honourable one was captivated by all virtuous and lovely things. He was meek but also a sharp wise man. The priests of the Son indeed sleep but they do not die. On account of their deeds, generations after generations sing, saying: Blessed be the memory of Yawsep Nabāt, the perfect priest! May his prayer be with us when we pray the Vespers and the Morning Prayer! (the rest is missing).
