GREEK INSCRIBED MOSAICS FROM THE CHURCH FLOOR IN ̔UQERBAT, CENTRAL SYRIA

This article, "Greek Inscribed Mosaics from the Church Floor in 'Uqerbat, Central Syria," by Malatius Jaghnoon, describes an archaeological discovery in January 2018 in 'Uqerbat, Syria. A large 5th-century church floor mosaic, measuring 37x18 meters, was uncovered, containing fourteen Greek inscriptions. The author was provided with photos of nine panels by the Syrian General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums and provides decipherment and Arabic translations of these inscriptions.
